Teaching the fundamentals of water color painting, mixing color, different brush strokes, allowing kūpuna to execute a complete piece ready to take home.
Art Bar is a community driven event, with a goal to share the arts with the community. Coordinating with different local artists to lead lessons with different types of art projects. Guests leave with a piece to take home and knowledge in a new technique they can continue to use for future projects.
Here I am demonstrating how to carve a rubber block with a linoleum tool to create a stamp for relief printmaking.
Sample works from guests as they test out their carved rubber stamps for relief printmaking.
Progress photos of a kūpuna adding finishing touches to their water color card.
